A Lifetime of Little People Dreams
My family didn’t travel much when I was a child. We mostly stayed in our ancient European city and our home. I grew up with the richness of the whole of Europe at my doorstep, but couldn’t reach it. I would imagine the world beyond our apartment, and what a little person like me would see and experience. It was in these imaginary world expeditions my Little People were born.
Little People were little like me, but in my daydreams, they could go places and do things I couldn’t. So they did! They explored every curve of the Earth in pursuit of exotic lands and fabulous experiences. They ventured to all my imagined places and did all the imagined things I wanted to do. They then returned home to my little apartment to share all their adventures.
They shared the images of their journeys through my art. Little People would return from a hot air balloon ride over the Savanna, a trip around the world on a sailing yacht, or an adventure in London, Barcelona, Prague, New York, San Francisco, Bali, or Tahiti. They shared all the amazing city views with me, and I drew those visions.
As an adult, the Little People still travel and still experience the world, but now they help other people experience the world beyond their everyday experiences and individual surroundings. The beautiful thing about Little People is, that they can go anywhere, and do anything. They can see the world and write stories, alone or together with other Little People.

Now my Little People are for everyone —for you. You can have your own commissioned art with an Edition 1/1, one of one. Your piece will be the only one of its kind in the world. Little People are hand-drawn and painted specifically for you and your situation, and each piece comes with an embossed seal of authenticity. No matter your life’s path, Little People can immortalize the journey in a whimsical and beautiful custom art piece. You can commission art for yourself, your family, friends, clients, or colleagues. Anyone experiencing a memorable life event or journey can celebrate that moment in art. Whether it’s a positive event like a new baby or a challenging one like a divorce, Little People will transform the event into something beautiful and inspirational.
How it Works
Describe the life event and the vision you have for your Little People art piece.
You can say you and your friend are sailing around the world, or your friend is getting divorced and is looking ahead to the adventures to come, or perhaps a child is heading off to college. Simply describe the event, and how many Little People are involved, and we’ll incorporate that into your hand-painted original commissioned piece.
Chose a background for the vision.
We have several amazing backgrounds already available for your selection. However, if none of them presents the exact situation you want, no trouble at all, we’ll paint you the one you want. We have hearts, hot air balloons, waterfalls, sailboats, and many more backgrounds, but if you need two little people riding an elephant through Kenya, we can do it. All you need to do is add a description of the image you would like to see in your commissioned art piece.
Describe the people the art is for.
Who are they? What do they like, or dislike? Help us make sure we add everything they like, and nothing they don’t. Little People are little, but they can take on the look and personalities of the people they represent. If they represent you, tell us who you are. If they represent your daughter going off to college, give us a picture of who she is and what she’s feeling about the event. The more we know the more the Little People can become those they represent. Alternatively, perhaps you want Little People to be someone you’re NOT! If so, just tell us the personality traits you want the Little People to exhibit, and we’ll make that part of your commissioned art piece.
Describe the color palette.
Everyone has a favourite color. Give us the colors you love or need in this piece. This is YOUR art piece, and you can customize it any way you want. You imagine the most beautiful colour combination and tell us all about it. Your piece will include the colors you like and will avoid those you don’t care for.
Sit back and wait for your first draft.
We’ll synthesize everything you told us and make your custom art piece. We’ll then send you a link with a digital version of your art so you can see how we’ve captured your vision and life event. You can then request any changes you would prefer to see. Once we have those you’ll receive a final draft and finish the approval process. Once you approve your piece, we package it up and send it out to you. We can also include a full-size digital image if you like, even an NFT upon request.
